day 47, more tricks

The puppies are doing so well with their training. They come to their names, sit very consistently and shake. Tonight we started teaching them to lay down and they are already doing really well with it (as you'll see in the videos). They are also all doing incredible with their potty training. It is good to see a few of the puppies who are a little bit more timid start to come out of their shells. It is so fun to play with all of their unique personalities! Also notice everyone's cute new collars. They have adjusted nicely to wearing them and they all look adorable.

Also we had an idea to start a page where all our new owners can discuss problems, things that work best with the puppies as well as share funny stories. We also thought that we would continue this blog and upload any pictures that we receive of the puppies so that everyone can see how the whole litter grows up. Don't worry no one expects a picture every other day, just when you feel like it. The link for that is on the right of the blog!

Dexter

This guy is still the biggest of the litter! He has an adorable little face and fun personality to go with it. He loves to romp and play and comes really well to his name. He is one of the ring leaders, luckily he listens really well. He loves to fall asleep on feet.

Abby

This little goof ball loves to play, she is constantly pouncing on and growling at us and her litter mates. She is EXTREMELY food driven and will do anything for a treat which has made her really easy to train.

Maggie

Maggie is the kisser of the group. She loves to lick faces and show her love. She also is a talker, she lets her litter mates know when she is mad at them and has even told the big dogs in the house off a time or two. She really likes pouncing on tennis balls. She comes really well when called (especially if you use a high pitched voice).

Cooper

Ironically the dog that looks the most like the stud of the litter acts the most like him too. This guy is just an easy going fun loving pup who really likes to please. He has also been one of the easiest puppies to potty train, somehow he just gets it! He loves playing with rope toys and his daddy, he follows him everywhere!

Mila

This little girl has such a cute face! She has really come out of her shell in the last few weeks and decided she likes to explore the world. She loves to growl and is always the first one to fall asleep out of the litter and usually falls asleep on a stuffed animal.

Sophie

Sophie is a little princess, she absolutely loves being cuddled and loved. She is also really food driven and gets really excited as soon as she smells treats. She really enjoys chasing her dad around the house and trying to steal his toys.

Ollie

Ollie will do anything for a carrot, it is by far his favorite treat and the second he smells them he is ready to do his tricks! He has started to really like playing with the big dogs in the house  and loves anything that squeaks. He also loves to paw at things.

day 45, sitting and trying to shake

Sorry about this being such a late post, we used a new camera (thanks ollie's new mom and dad) and the quality is SO much better! Along with good quality comes large file size, so they took about 10 minutes each to upload, it's totally worth it though. All of the puppies are sitting and some of them are even shaking and laying down (though inconsistently still). Anyway, here's the videos. day 42, a celebratory post

The last puppy is sold! Hooray! We are so excited that all of our puppies are going to such amazing homes. Today a couple of the owners were able to come over and play with the puppies which was a lot of fun. We don't have pictures of all of the owners (some are coming on monday and we will update them when we get them), but here are the ones we have as of now, as well as their names. Also we added another picture because they are so cute and it can't be helped.

day 41, swimming in the tub!

I just realized the puppies go home in ten days! Crazy! They are getting more and more cute every day. We just love them! Yesterday we taught them to swim in the bath and caught it on video. Again the quality is poor, but you can still see how cute it is and how much they like it. They were pretty adorable swimming around in circles. Most of them caught on really quick! It is good for puppies to learn this at an early age.

In other news we gave them all another round of haircuts. They look really great. They are also doing better and better at holding it every day, which makes potty training a breeze!

day 39, "come here puppy!"

So first great news of the day, we have gone two days without accidents in the house! The puppies have been going consistently outside and doing a GREAT job! We are so happy about it. It only takes a few minutes outside and they have all gone potty. We have also been teaching them one at a time to come when called. They love it! We did videos instead of pictures to show how cute they are coming when called. Please excuse the background noise, the puppies were complaining because their mom is weaning them and wouldn't let them get milk, but she was staying close enough to frustrate them. Also the quality is pretty bad (iPhone cameras), but it is still cute!

day 37, outside on the rocks!

Yesterday was a great day for the puppies. It was nice and warm so they actually went outside six times. All of them went to the bathroom every time and they are getting really quick about it! The front of our house has a rock retaining wall with flower beds above and the puppies were able to explore that and learned very quickly how to get up and down the different rocks. There is an extra picture on each puppies page!

day 35, stairs!

Today we actually did more outside pictures. We took them, had some great shots and that's when the memory card decided to quit working so we had to reshoot the bunch. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't reshoot outside. Instead we put the puppies on the stairs for the first time. Most of them figured out how to go up and down. There are also a few extra group shots at the end.

Day 33, rompin' in the snow!

Sorry about this post being a day late. It was worth the wait though! You get to see pictures of the puppies first time outside. I did a matching picture of all of them sniffing the grass because all of them did it for a few minutes. They were adorable. Almost all of them even peed on the grass for the first time and received a lot of praise for it. Again I couldn't narrow down the pictures so there are extras on each puppies page.
